The Hideaway is a mini resort set in very private tropical gardens beside the golden sands of North Peregian Beach at Noosa on Queensland`s Sunshine Coast.

An interesting place. If you`re expecting the gay vibe of a big city like Sydney, forget it. This is a much, much slower pace. Most of the guys are in the older age group. It`s more like a group you`d find at a bowling club. Very conservative for gay men. There`s not much action and a lot less when the poolside TV gets turned on and everyone`s attention moves from talking to watching (Geoff, forget the TV, it`s a mood killer). On the plus side, the rooms are clean and the owners are always busy keeping the place in top condition. The resort is not really in walking distance to any shops, restaurants or entertainment but a short drive will get you somewhere. There`s an elaborately decorated shed down the back for, well to call a spade a spade, having sex. However, when we were there that did not appear to be on top of anyone`s agenda. Overall I`d be prepared to give it another go. Maybe the guests will be a bit more active next time.
