About Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree
For a bird’s eye view over the lush karri forests of Pemberton, climb the Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree. Once used as a fire lookout, today the 70 metre high tree is open to the public. If you’re not too adventurous, there’s a platform about half way up, which still affords excellent views.
You
can also go bushwalking through the forest – there are several walking
trails nearby. Immerse yourself in nature and you’ll feel relaxed and
recharged. The bird watching in this neck of the woods is excellent and you may even spot the rare red-tailed black cockatoo.
