GAY CLUBS

Too many gay clubs to mention but to name a few:

SYDNEY

ON OXFORD STREET

Stonewall Hotel, with every night entertainment. The main pub downstairs is friendly and features live shows. Head upstairs for dancing. Popular with both gays and lesbians and usually very busy.

The Oxford Hotel, recently refurbished, still attracting leather and bear crowd.

The Midnight Shift, a three story club, attracts all sorts of gay archetypes and is popular with Asian Sydney siders.

ARQ, on Flinders Street, attracts a large gay crowd as well and is famous for it’s foam nights and quality drag shows.

Also on Flinders Street is the Taxi Club, with cheap drinks and a safe haven for gender-blending transgenders, transsexuals, and ambisexuals.

MELBOURNE

The Market, dance club for mixed crowd, but generally younger.

The Peel, generally a younger crowd.

Sircuit Melbourne, a mixed cruise bar.

BRISBANE

The Beat, a mixed mega club with 4 bars and one of them, the Cockatoo Club is really gay.

Klub Kruise, discreetly located but still in the heart of Brisbane's nightlife and just metres from Brisbane's best nightclubs and pubs. This is Brisbane's ONLY gay owned and operated cruise club.
3 levels of hot action plus a spa or jacuzzi garden add to the high class facilities on offer.

The Wickham, gay and tends to have a broad mix of guys.

There is also Fluffy on Sundays, the most dynamic, versatile and beautifully decorated entertainment venue ever to grace Brisbane's entertainment scene. Every Sunday at "Family", Fluffy hosts in the upstairs bar and downstairs dance floor/bar. Great stage for performances attracting the best of international and local acts. Mainly gay with a increasingly “straightish” crowd fringing the floor.

PERTH

Connections Nightclub, a blend of cool and camp, funk and drag, where lesbians, gay men and their friends meet.

Aberdeen Hotel, this spot offers six zones to explore, with plenty of entertainment for everyone. Meet in the front bar, then hit the dance floor in Zone Two which boasts an industrial techno style.

Club West, a home grown cabaret and dance club.

Ram Lounge, a Men only Cruise Club, enter via Club X.

ADELAIDE

The Mars Bar is the only and of course most popular gay venue in Adelaide, designed with a series of raised platforms with seating and tables to give great views of the stage and dance floor. A state of the art lighting rig, sound system, with an elevated DJ box to create the ultimate clubbing atmosphere. The bar atmosphere is funky and intimate and creates a mood all of its own.
